The Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency (SAEE) is one of 67 international chapters of the American Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). As a chapter of the AEE, the SAEE is committed to increase energy efficiency, utilize innovative energy service options, enhance environmental management programs, upgrade facility operations, and improve equipment performance -- while at the same time bolstering the bottom lines of organizations.

SAEE is your source for information on the dynamic field of energy efficiency, utility deregulation, facility management, plant engineering, and environmental compliance. With a full array of information outreach programs from technical seminars, conferences, books to critical buyer-seller networking tradeshows, job listings, and certification programs, the SAEE and AEE offers a variety of information resource tools.

As a growing membership organization, the overall strength of AEE is highlighted by a strong membership base of over 8,000 professionals and recognized certification programs.

The Association's network of 67 local chapters regularly meets to discuss international and regional issues.

SAEE win 3 Awards at the International AEE Award Ceremony.

The Chapter Recognition Awards offer AEE chapters an opportunity to let the AEE network of energy professionals know about the valuable work that is being done in their local areas.

The 2009 Chapter Recognition Awards, which were given to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments in eight categories, was presented in Washington, D.C. on November 3 in conjunction with the 32nd World Energy Engineering Congress.
