MANAGEMENT
The management and affairs of the organisation shall be conducted by a Board consisting of a minimum of 6 members with possible alternates, each of whom shall be a full member of the association. The Board may at its discretion from time to time vary the number of elected members serving on the Board. They are the office bearers of the organisation.
It is preferred that the SAEE Board consists of the following sectors:
- Education Sector
- Utility Sector
- Energy Intensive Group
- Services
- Energy Efficiency Sector
- Government and office bearers
Members of the Board shall be elected every second year by ballot of which 50% of the members shall remain for another two-year term.
Who May Nominate
Nominations are open to SAEE Members only, but the person being nominated does not have to be a member of the SAEE, but shall become a full member at an annual membership fee of R550.00 (five hundred and fifty rand), of the association.
How to Nominate
In general, all nominations must include a nomination form, a seconded person's signature that is supporting the nomination being made, a supporting rationale for nomination and a complete curriculum vitae of the person being nominated.

A motivational letter explaining (in less than 150 words) the basis upon which the candidate is being nominated
Nomination Information
The nomination forms should be used to submit nominations in hard copy form. Nomination forms can be printed out, filled in and faxed back to +5 or nominations can be submitted electronically on the SAEE website.
Nomination Deadline: Nominations will open on 3 May 2011
All nominations must be received in hard copy/email at the SAEE Offices by close of business on 31 August 2011
Voting Process: Online voting will open 5 September 2011 on the SAEE Website and closes 21 October 2011. All votes will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
The votes will be counted and evaluated and the new board members must be available to attend the Annual General Meeting to be held on 15 November 2011 at the Emperor's Palace Gauteng.
The new Board Members will be inducted at the SAEE Awards and Banquet Ceremony to be held on the evening of 16 November 2011.
