Scholarships

2011 YEAR OF STUDY

The Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency (SAEE) hereby invites applications for scholarships from interested students in the Engineering, Built Environment and Environmental Studies. Scholarships are awarded in support of transformation of the energy sector and will only be awarded to South African Nationals. Recipients of other government scholarships and/or bursaries will not be eligible for the SAEE scholarships.

The three scholarships of R15, 000.00 each will cover relevant study costs to students who do not currently have any scholarships and/or bursaries, and will be in their 2nd or 3rd academic year in 2011. The scholarships will be awarded to students with an excellent academic record in previous years of study.

Application forms are also obtainable from the SAEE website (www.saee.org.za). Applications must be submitted by the students in their personal capacity. The closing date for applications is Friday, 22 October 2010. Hard copy submissions can be posted, delivered or faxed to the SAEE at the following address:

Only applications for the 2011 academic year will be considered. The selection will be done by the SAEE Student Scholarship Committee. The successful applicants will receive their scholarships at the SAEE Annual Banquet and Award Ceremony on 10 November 2010 at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg.

Please note that the scholarship funds will only be available for 2011 Registration.

Documents to be Submitted

1. A filled in and signed application form. Application form must be signed by both the student and the lecturer.
2. Copy of the Students ID
3. Transcript of academic records (both Grade 12 and Tertiary Institution marks)
4. Proof of current year registration at Tertiary Institution.
5. A short Personal Profile of yourself.

(Applications received without the necessary documentation will be disqualified.)
