The SAEE Confederation encourages your application for the Energy Management Leadership awards under the Clean Energy Ministerial. We would welcome greater participation from South Africa. The closing date for this application is 14 February 2018.
 
We also encourage young female energy professionals to consider the wonderful fellowship opportunity being offered by the International Energy Agency (IEA) which includes up to eight months of a fellowship with the IEA in Paris. The closing date for this application is the 19 February 2018. Please find further information below:

Call for Organizations certified to ISO 50001 standard to elevate South Africa’s profile in clean energy

The Southern African Energy Efficiency Confederation is pleased to encourage your participation in the prestigious awards programme which will recognize organizations that use an ISO 50001-certified energy management system (EnMS) to save energy and reduce costs. The Energy Management Leadership Awards, sponsored by Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), will raise global awareness of the benefits of energy management and accelerate uptake of these systems to support corporate, national, and global climate goals. South Africa is an active member of the CEM Energy Management Working Group (EWMG), which oversees the programme. The closing date for submission of your entries has been extended to the 14 February 2018.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR WOMEN IN ENERGY FOR A FELLOWSHIP WITH THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY AGENCY IN PARIS  


The International Energy Agency (IEA) under the Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (CE3) which is also part of the Clean Energy Ministerial, is partnering with the SAEE Confederation to extend this opportunity to women in energy in South Africa. This annual fellowship will provide on the job experience to a promising student to work in a multicultural environment on leading energy issues related to women’s education and skills development, clean energy or energy access.

 The selected student will support data collection, indicators development and qualitative research to be undertaken under Annex 1 of the C3E Technology Collaboration Partnership or another Annex and will also undertake research related to the IEA’s work programme focused on either women’s education and skills development, energy access or clean energy deployment.
